The business quickly established its position as one of the leading investment research firms in Australia. Aegis was successful in establishing an extensive client base – a select group of institutional funds managers; all leading online brokers including E*Trade, Charles Schwab, TD Waterhouse, CommSec, National Online, St. George Quicktrade; over 4,000 financial advisers including BT, MLC, AMP Hill Ross; and over 21 private client stockbrokers across Australia and New Zealand. In 2010, Aegis was acquired by Morningstar.

Mainstreet is also underpinned by a number of highly experienced and high calibre personnel, who collectively have over 100 years of equity market experience gained from institutional equities research, funds management, investment banking and stockbroking.

Peter Leodaritsis is a leading figure in the Australian securities industry and has over 35 years’ experience in equities and investment markets.

Peter is a clear thinker with a strategic mind, with an ability to see the big picture while also having a clear eye for detail. With advanced commercial acumen, he is able to process information quickly and identify critical issues while under pressure. He is a structured problem solver, empowered by his strong financial numeracy and analytical skills and an exceptionally skilled presenter and communicator, with superior written, oral and presentation skills. Peter has experience addressing varied audiences from board members, regulators, investors, Government and staff at all levels. With strong interpersonal skills, he is well regarded and effortlessly establishes a good rapport.

Peter is a result driven leader, with an inclusive and collaborative style and a high degree of personal integrity and credibility. With over 30 years of financial services experience, including 25 years in institutional equities, Peter is recognised as one of Australia’s leading financial sector analysts. He is acknowledged as creating Australia's first truly sizeable independent equities research firm - Aegis. Where his strong leadership combined with his passion for success transformed Aegis from a business concept in 1999, into a profitable, industry-leading player, when acquired by Morningstar in 2010.

Peter has experience as a Director of AFSL entities and understands the compliance complexities that AFS licensed firms are required to maintain.
